Rubber allergy

Natural rubber (latex) is used in the production of rubber products. It is tapped from rubber trees and a number of chemical substances are added to give the natural rubber elasticity and durability.

Allergy can occur to both natural rubber and to the chemicals added in the production of rubber.

Latex allergy and rubber chemical allergy are therefore two different things.
