Hand eczema is a common disease causing itching, redness, scaling, cracking and blistering of the skin.
One in ten persons in denmark will suffer from hand eczema within the period of a year. Hand eczema often starts early in life and can become chronic. This may result in reduced quality of life, long-term illness, change of profession or early retirement for individuals and large economic costs on society.
